Hi my name is Adrian. I am eighteen years old. I recently moved to San Jose California from Albuquerque New Mexico. For most of my child hood life my mother was and still is disabled. When I was five my step dad and her were arguing he was drunk and she didnt want to be around him. One thing led to another and she ended up at the bottom of our staircase with two slipped discs. Since then she has developed fibromialgia. She was once a nurse. Now she lives in New Mexico with my two younger brothers and my seven year old sister. She is on didability and only makes 1200 dollars a month. Even though my mother could use some help she is not the reason I am where I am today. I live on my own here in San Jose trying to go to school. I just cant seem to make rent or pay for any food. Work is slim and Ive got noone to help me. I have lived in San Jose for a little over six months. I am trying to do this on my own.I do not want to ask my mom for much because i know that she doesnt have much to give. Rent is 600 dollars a month, and I am two months behind. I have no food and no money. i have been eating whatever i can get from a food bank at a church next to the neighborhood that i live in. All I really need is a small push. I know that I can make it work. The economy is bad and cant find a descent job anywhere. I am willing to work anywhere.
